– The measure of how much matter there is in an object.
Volume
– The amount of space an object takes up.
Matter
- Anything that has mass and takes up space.
States of Matter
The particles in a substance are arranged and move differently

Solids: Particles are arranged in tight rows and vibrate slightly.
Liquids:Particles move around each other but remain in contact.
